A school bag that transcends generations
Established in 1897, made by Kataoka Shoten.
This genuine Japanese-made 3-way school bag is produced by a long-established company that has protected the backs of Hiroshima's students for generations.
Based on this, Noradogu Seisakusho added outdoor and military touches to create this "3-way Tactical School Bag."
It's not only a school bag for children, but it's also highly rated for camping, airsoft games, travel, and even as a camera bag that can hold a camera body vertically.
It's also a great idea for friends, couples, or parent-child pairs to have matching bags.

In fact, it's so durable that it can be used for another three years or more as a "hand-me-down" for a younger sibling. (Sometimes even "hand-me-down of a hand-me-down")
Looking back, I realized that there aren't many bags this robust, and that was the initial inspiration.
Indeed, Kataoka Shoten themselves seemed to be struggling with the dilemma that over 30% of their sales were "hand-me-downs" because of the excessive durability, which meant new school bags weren't selling well (lol).
However, I personally love sturdy and simple products made by such people, so I asked Mr. Kataoka to collaborate with me to create this school bag.
The base adopted was a 3-way school bag that already had a track record of being supplied to schools throughout Hiroshima. (As an aside, this school bag was also the official bag of my alma mater.)
It can be used in three ways: hand-carry, backpack, or shoulder bag. (Backpack straps and shoulder straps are included as standard.)
Although not completely waterproof, it has a thick PVC coating on the back, so a little rain is no problem.
The flap has a large Velcro area, so you can attach your favorite patches to customize it to your liking.

The hook-type backpack straps can open wide to fit the shape of the body, making it popular and easy to carry for children with scoliosis who wear corrective corsets.
Also, many people struggle with the limitations of adjusting ready-made backpack straps due to different shoulder heights. We also offer customization of strap length, so please consult us if you have any difficulties.

When combined with a cushioned bag-in-bag for cameras, it transforms into a convenient camera bag that can be placed directly on the ground outdoors.
We tested it and found that Etsumi's Flexible L was a perfect fit.
If you walk a long distance to a shooting spot, use it as a backpack. If you change locations frequently for shooting, the shoulder bag provides excellent mobility.
