This is alpha rice from Satake in my hometown, Hiroshima.
There are many other flavors, but this one is "chirashi sushi" (scattered sushi), which is quite unexpected.
For a moment, my body refused to comprehend. "Huh? Chirashi sushi made with alpha rice??" I laughed.
Because vinegar is volatile, I thought it would be impossible to make it with alpha rice, right?
But this... it's perfectly chirashi sushi. Satake, you're amazing. It's 20 times more chirashi sushi than I expected.

However, it's obvious that if you make it with cold water, you'll end up with cold rice.
For dishes like chicken rice or curry, you'd probably prefer it warm, but for chirashi sushi, it's not a problem at all; in fact, it's even more delicious when cold!
